Little SCRUBS Camp
with Gail Lewis
Calling all future doctors, nurses, and healthcare heroes! Little SCRUBS camp is a fun and hands-on camp where kids get to explore the amazing world of the human body. Campers will become "mini-medics" as they learn how their bodies work and discover what its like to help others feel better!
Ages 8-12

Explore Pottery
with Lily Siu
Ages: 10 - 15
Wrap your hands around a three dimensional project that you completely design and create. Hand build pottery and also make scupltures. Learn basic skills for sculpting and manipluating clay with pinch, coiling, and slab techniques. All work will be glazed and fired in the kiln. All pieces will need picked up at a later date.
**A WHEEL WILL NOT BE USED DURING THIS CAMP**

Craft - Paint a Silk Scarf
with Lily Siu
Demos of techniques in scarf painting: batik, resist, diffused, free form.
2 scarves provided.
Time:5-8pm
Pottery Summer Session 2
with Lily Siu
Beginner, intermediate and advanced students are all welcome! Learn how to hand build or throw cups, bowls, & plates on the wheel. Clay and glazes provided.
4:00-9:00pm (note this is not a 5 hour class we will ask you to choose a 3 hour time slot to come in for the class at check out)

Fused Glass Art
with Lily Siu
Glass projects featuring a multi-colored pattern achieved by fusing together variously colored canes, rods, strips, or squares of glass.
Perfect for groups.
Time: 1-4
Food Safety Manager Certification

This one day course is designed to prepare food service employees to meet the Illinois certification requirement.
Topics include: personal hygiene, cross contamination, time and temperature, receiving and storage, food safety management systems, training hourly employees, and more
Book will be provided. Textbook: ServSafe Manager Book, 9th Edition
Certification is required every five years
Mental Health Conference
with Jonathan Wade
September 17 & 18 from 8:00am-3:00pm
This two day comprehensive conference will feature keynote speakers. There will be break out sessions for social workers, nursing staff, and therapists.
The cost of the conference is $30 and includes all sessions, breakfast and lunch. Coffee will also be provided through The Connection Cafe.
