Food Safety Manager Certification
with Chris Fitzsimmons
This one day course is designed to prepare food service employees to meet the Illinois certification requirement.
Topics include: personal hygiene, cross contamination, time and temperature, receiving and storage, food safety management systems, training hourly employees, and more.
Book will be provided. Textbook: ServSafe Manager Book, 9th Edition
Certification is required every five years!

Chair Yoga Spring Session 3
with Glenda Brooks
Chair yoga is especially suitable for older adults, people with balance or coordination issues, and those with disabilities. Chair yoga helps increase flexibility, lung capacity, circulation and strength, Improves balance and relieves stress. The class incorporates breathing exercises, stretching, yoga postures, and final relaxation. 8 classes.

Tai Chi Session 1
with Daniel Hall
Daniel Hall teaches Tai Chi for the Community Education Department at DACC. He has been a martial arts practitioner for 40+ years, focusing on the internal Chinese art of Tai Chi, as well as the arts of Hsing –I and Bagua. He has studied a variety of Chi-gung and Nei-gung systems and is also a certified Clear Tai Chi™ Level 1 instructor, Clear Tai Chi™ Internal Push Hands™ Level 1 Instructor andhas completed levels 1-4 of Clear Tai Chi™ (Fa Kung) Chi Healing training. As a Kinesiotherapist at the Danville VA, Dan taught Tai chi and Nei-gung for health and for stress reduction to Veterans for several years until retiring in 2020. He taught these skills to Veterans with a wide variety of physical and mental health issues, as ways of coping with the stresses and difficulties of life.

Travel from east to west following the routes traveled by those creating ourcountry. We’ll travel Route 66 established 1926 running from Chicago to Santa Monica,CA. Washington, D.C., Revolutionary War and Civil War locations will bring our historyto the front. Modern cities have mega offerings; however, small villages and by-wayshave their unique charm. Pioneers traversed Dodge City and the Rockies in coveredwagons, but we’ll visit by camera.
