Chair Yoga Spring Session 4

Chair yoga is especially  suitable for older adults, people with balance or coordination issues, and those with disabilities.  Chair yoga helps increase flexibility, lung capacity, circulation and strength, Improves balance and  relieves stress.  The class incorporates breathing  exercises, stretching, yoga postures, and final relaxation. 8 classes.

Basic Digital Camera Functions

Basic photographic techniques will be addressed to help you improve your digitalphotography and understand your digital camera. This class will explore basic manualand automatic controls of your digital camera. You will learn about the different dials,buttons and menus on your digital camera. The automatic modes of digital cameras willbe explained. Image file management, printing and basic image retouching will bediscussed. Bring your digital camera

What I need for this class:

Instructor computer and data projector with Photoshop and Lightroom Access if possible (Demonstration purposes only, students do not need computer)

A second data projector with an HDMI access to plug in digital cameras (I got the cord). 

Would like to have a minimum of three students and a maximum of seven to run this class.

Lunch & Learn - Those 49th and 50th states - Alaska & Hawaii

Alaska is huge and varied. Take Alaska’s Inside Passage to see glaciers; mush ona dog sled ride; see the start of the Iditarod Dog Sled Race; pan for gold in Anchorage;fly north above the Arctic Circle to Deadhorse on Prudhoe Bay; follow the Alaska PipeLine for 300 miles; travel on the Yukon River; and see Mt. McKinley (Denali) NationalPark. In Hawaii, we will visit the USS Arizona Memorial, petroglyphs in lava, and walkon the cooled lava flows. No visit to Hawaii is complete without seeing the beachesincluding those with green, black or white sand. Hawaii also has rocky beaches due to itsvolcanic geography.

Photoshop

Photoshop is a photographer’s digital darkroom. Learn about the basic tools to crop,color correct, add effects to improve your photographs, combine images, make photo composites, add type, and include special effects. Also, converting your files to other formats and resizing your images will be taught. Ideal for the first-time user of Photoshop.

What I need for this class:

Computer lab (probably LH-218) with instructor and student access to Photoshop.

A blank USB jump drive for each student so I can place exercises on the drive and the student can save their work. I currently have 4.

Would like to have a minimum of three students and a maximum of six to run this class.
